ICM_013b_andre_perreault_2014-07-15_600In part 2, we discuss the law of attraction, what it is, and how it has worked for Andre in his life.  We acknowledge that it can be a devisive topic in the Church.  Some would say that it encourages people to rely on God, and to focus on Him.  Others might say that it takes away from God, giving all the glory to oneself and/or the “universe”, rather than God.  Continue reading

Part 2 of 2, John answers specific questions a Mormon might have about the Community of Christ.  Naturally there will be similarities between the two churches, and there are some major differences too.

If you find this episode to be interesting, please like it, and share it with others.  We would LOVE to see your comments on the facebook page.

In part 2 of this interview, Viola shares her perspective on the Plan of Salvation.  She also shares her thoughts on the principle of hope.  As Mormons, we are familiar with faith, hope, and charity (see 1 Cor. 13:13).  We try to exercise faith, and strive to treat others with charity.  But too often we overlook the “hope”.  What is hope?  Why is it so important?  How can we have it?  Viola shares her thoughts on this.

I am glad to have been able to catch Viola Nabrotzky for this interview, just days before she relocated to the United States to get married.  She is a lawyer practicing family law, and has a background in social work.  She is a gifted gospel teacher, and student of the scriptures.  In Part 1 of this interview, Viola shares her experiences growing up, the impact of losing both of her parents as a teen, her mission, education, and her encounter with a very direct, yet inspired aunt.

The idea of receiving personal revelation from God seems to be unique to Mormonism.  Just google the term “personal revelation” and you will find that the entire first page of results is almost all LDS content.  Okay, perhaps personal revelation is not totally unique to Latter-day Saints, but it is surely a concept that is emphasized heavily by our faith tradition.

Personal revelation can be a tricky topic for some.  Does God really answer our prayers?  And if He does, how can we really know that we have received an answer from Him?  Is that the Spirit we are feeling, or is just indigestion?  For Cesar and Sofia, this is not a difficult questions to answer.  In our interview we explore these questions, and they each share their own experiences with receiving personal revelation in their lives.
